The concrete floor is wet with water along with particles of dust from sanding the car <br />door. There is a bucket of water next to the car door. <br />Sanding waste did not exit the building. There is no sign of waste in the storm drain gutter. Spoken <br />with the suspected party to ensure that sanding waste is properly handled, stored and disposed of. <br />Explained that the sanding waste must not be emptied into garbage, sink or. into storm drain as it is <br />presumed to be hazardous waste. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: <br />Wet Sanding Best Practices: <br />- Control the waste water so it does not flow to gutters, street or storm drains. <br />- Use spray bottle to wet small surface area, collect waste in drip pan that is place beneath the part. <br />- Do not dispose of sludge, waste water or hazardous waste to the sink or garbage. <br />- Do not sweep or wash sanding dust and waste water to storm drains or outside areas. <br />- Collect, handle, store and properly dispose of sanding dust.
