A� S'C& DELTA � <br /> BACKGROUND & CAPABILITIES <br /> Delta Switchboard Company started during the 1940 ' s to manufacture <br /> power panels for the ship building industry in California. <br /> Incorporated in the State of California, Delta had grown to be one <br /> of the leading independent manufacturers in the United States . <br /> RTE Corporation purchased Delta in 1977 , later sold the stock to <br /> employees and the company was named "Delta Controls" . <br /> In 1986 , Delta combined forces with the Automatic Switch Company <br /> and is now known as "ASCO/Delta" . In accordance with this <br /> acquisition, Delta has continued to provide quality products and <br /> service and now utilizes ASCO' s nationwide sales organization to <br /> reach an enlarged market area . <br /> Through the years, Delta expanded to serve a variety of markets <br /> with standard and special electrical product lines . Our equipment <br /> can be found throughout the world serving utilities , <br /> manufacturers , industries , hospitals and governments . Delta' s <br /> experience in the generator control business ranges from small <br /> standby generators to total energy plants, peak shaving <br /> applications and municipal generating stations . Delta has <br /> provided equipment for power stations up to 50 megawatts and 15KV. <br /> Our manufacturing facility located in Stockton utilizes over 4 . 4 <br /> acres with 50 , 000 square feet of shop working area, and 8 ,000 <br /> square feet of office space. Delta's expansion program and <br /> increased volume of business has been underwritten by satisfied <br /> customers throughout the world. <br /> We have an ongoing quality assurance program directed by our test <br /> staff. Special emphasis has been placed, when required, in <br /> keeping with the N.R.C. quality control requirements for <br /> electrical switchgear in nuclear plant installations . <br /> We have a strong engineering group with many years experience in <br /> the specialized switchgear market. Staffed with professional <br /> engineers , and draftsmen utilizing an IBM CAD system, Delta is <br /> well qualified to provide a complete engineered system. . <br /> As an independent manufacturer, Delta is able to offer components <br /> from all of the major manufacturers .
