In August 2012, AGE, on behalf of the current property owners, collected ground water
samples from MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3. Analytical results indicated that Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons (TPH) compounds were not detected above the method detection limits,
with the exception of low concentrations of toluene and xylenes detected at maximum
concentration of 3.6 micrograms per liter (Ng/I) and 5.7 pg/I, respectively. Solvents and
other VOCs were not detected above the method detection limits. Dissolved metals were
not detected above MCL drinking water standards.
In addition, during the months of October 2012 and November 2012, AGE, on behalf of
the current property owners, collected representative soil samples from each of the
SWMU areas. A total of 21 soil samples were collected from depths of between 24-
inches bsg and 64-inches bsg, and were analyzed for one or more of the following:
metals, VOC and TPH. The following metals were detected: barium (19 detection at
maximum of 210 milligrams per kilograms - mg/kg), chromium (six detection with
maximum of 13 mg/kg), cobalt (six detections with maximum of 10 mg/kg), copper (19
detections with maximum of 680 mg/kg), nickel (nine detections with maximum of 21
mg/kg), vanadium (17 detections with maximum of 45 mg/kg) and zinc (18 detections with
maximum of 49 mg/kg) were constituent metals detected at the site. None of the soil
samples demonstrated detections of VOCs or TPH. In addition, none of the contaminants
exceeded their respective CHHSL value for commercial/industrial land use.
A summary of the results and analytical data collected from the October 1994 through
November 2012 sampling activities are presented in the final Report, dated March 2013.
The boring locations from the August 2012 through November 2012 sampling activities
are shown on Figure 2.
RFA and Closure Report
In March 2013, a combined report that included a Phase I, RFA and RCRA Closure
Report for the site, including the seven SWMUs and two AOCs was submitted to DTSC.
The Report documents the following:
Soils
Representative soil samples from SWMU No. 1 area were collected under the building
floor at depths ranging between 12 and 50 inches below the concrete base (Samples
#11-12, #11-24, #11-50, #12-12, #12-24, #13-12, #14-12, and #14-50). Results of the
soil samples indicated that metals and/or cyanides were not detect above CHHSL
values for commercial/industrial land use in this area. The boring locations from the
August 2012 through November 2012 sampling activities are shown on Figures 2.
Representative soil samples from SWMU No. 2 area were collected under the building
floor at depths ranging between 12 and 50 inches below the concrete base (Samples
#14-12, #14-50, and historical sample SB-1/H(18')). Results of the soil samples
indicated that metals were not detect above CHHSL values for commercial/industrial
land use in this area. The boring locations from the August 2012 through November
2012 sampling activities are shown on Figures 2.
Statement of Basis for Former Advanced Interconnect Technologies, Inc.
