FACILITY, 551/555 CARNEGIE
STREET, MANTECA, CALIFORNIA CAR0000002279 (SITE CODE 101364-48)
Dear Mr. Polimeno and Ms. Beresford:
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has reached a final decision on
the Corrective Action Complete Determination for the former Solid Waste Management
Units (SWMUs) and Areas of Concern (AOC) at the former Advanced Interconnect
Technologies property located at 551/555 Carnegie Street, Manteca, California. A copy
of the Notice of Decision is enclosed for your reference.
DTSC received no comments on the proposed Corrective Action Complete
Determination during the public review and comment period. As a result, DTSC did not
prepare a Response to Comments document. In addition, DTSC has finalized the
Statement of Basis for this decision. The final Statement of Basis is also enclosed.
This Corrective Action Complete Determination is based on the known conditions of the
SWMUs and AOCs identified in a final Phase I/RCRA Facility Assessment and Closure
Report, as well as other documentation and investigation reports provided to DTSC
during the course of the environmental investigation since 1987. This determination
does not limit or preclude DTSC from taking further action if previously unknown
conditions are discovered or new information is provided to DTSC after the date of the
determination that demonstrates that further corrective action is required by law. In
addition, this Corrective Action Complete Determination does not limit or preclude any
future investigations of the property by any agency.
