4. Emergency Response/Spill Cleanup Contractors <br />When an incident results in the unplanned release of hazardous substances into <br />the environment and the resources needed to adequately respond and clean up <br />the spill are not available, the Facility Emergency Coordinator may retain an <br />outside contractor. These contractors have the necessary equipment, such as <br />vacuum trucks, pumps and absorbents, for cleanup of major spills. A list of the <br />existing contract numbers are recorded in PG&E's Hazardous Waste Manual. <br />Copies of the contracts are available at the Regional and Corporate Headquarters. <br />Following is a list of emergency response and cleanup contractors who provide <br />additional resources: <br />a.
