Stacy Rivera [EH]
From: Sangeeta Lewis [lewisengineering@sbcglobal.net]
Sent: Tuesday, January 03, 2012 4:11 PM
To: Stacy Rivera [EH]
Cc: 'Carmichael, Dave'
Subject: Used Oil Tank Republic Services
Hi Stacy,
I'm helping Dave Carmichael out with the used oil tank at the Republic Services/Allied Truck and Maintenance Facility at 1145 West Charter
Way in Stockton. Based on my discussions with Dave,it appears that the facility is a small quantity generator(i.e. less than 270 gallons of
"haz waste"generated per month and less than 1620 gallons ever stored). Based on my understanding of the regulations, small quantity
generators do not require an engineer's assessment of above ground storage tanks. Is that consistent with your understanding? If so,we can
submit records to document that the facility is a small quantity generator.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss.
Thank you and Happy New Year,
Sangeeta Lewis,PE
Lewis Engineering
510.601.7223
1/5/2012
