0 BURAN— bt,,,A, Mr./fony Ta 1
EQUIPMENT Ir. in Walkup
COMPANY
1755 ADAMS AVENUE
SAN LEANDRO,CA 9457
May20, 1988
Mr. James Miller
San Joaquin Local Health District
P.O. Boli 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Dear Mr.Miller:
In May of 1987, we leased and moved into facilities located at 2081 East
Charter Way, Stockton, California, previously occupied by the Ford Tractor
franchise.
Two areas of potential environmental concern have come to our attention since
that time.
We noticed on the day of our roving into the facilities, that the drain line
from the steam cleaning pad was plumbed to allow drainage directly into
Mormon Creek. We then applies to your office for :he issuance of •a permit
to construct an effluent rr- :oery system and at the same time, capped the
pipe leading to the creek. Die to disagreements between ourselves and the
previous occupant over the re!.ponsibility for the cost involved, such recovery
system has not yet been installed. In the meantime, however, our Company has
not, at any time, used the steam cleaner pad and at no time have we been a
contributor toward any possible problems having to do with the creek and/or
its environs.
Separately, we have just had the septic tank cleanmd out and are advised by
the contractor that there are potential problems hiving to do with its loca-
tion.
We are sensitive to all environmental issues and will continue to comply.
Sincerely,
Dennis F.
