INTRODUCTION <br /> This Plan has been prepared to meet the requirements for a Spill Prevention, Control and <br /> Countermeasures Plan (SPCC), as required in Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations,part <br /> 112. The Plan also meets the requirements of the San Joaquin County Business <br /> Emergency Plan as required in Chapter 6.95, Division 20, of the State Health and Safety <br /> Code. <br /> The San Joaquin Business Emergency Plan requires the submittal of an inventory of the <br /> hazardous materials that are used during the year to the County Office of Emergency <br /> _. <br /> .—Services.-. <br /> _ <br /> For businesses that are subject to the above noted law(s) the following requirements must <br /> be met: <br /> o Businesses must immediately report releases, or threatened releases of hazardous <br /> materials, to local emergency response agencies and to the County office of <br /> Emergency Services when they pose significant present or potential hazard to <br /> human health or the environment. <br /> o Businesses must prepare an emergency plan to be submitted to the County office of <br /> Emergency Services, and to be used by the business in an emergency. The business <br /> must review this plan at least once every two years or when a substantial change in <br /> the business operations requires changes in the plan. Changes will be submitted to <br /> the County Office of Emergency Services. <br /> o Businesses must implement their plats in case of an emergency. <br /> o Businesses must submit an inventory of the hazardous materials that"are used <br /> during the year to the County Office of Emergency Services, This inventory must <br /> be resubmitted annually or within 30 days of one on the following changes: <br /> A 100 percent or more increase in the quantity of a previously listed <br /> material. <br /> Any handling of a hazardous material, as defined by Parts 172 and 173 of <br /> Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, that was not included on a <br /> previous inventory form. <br />
