HEALTH <br /> Reports to:Store Manager/Manager in Training <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> General Position Summary: <br /> The Vehicle Purchasing Agent(VPA)is responsible for providing quality, efficient customer service regarding vehicle <br /> purchases and related programs.VPA's are required to purchase vehicles, verify the accuracy of documents and ensure <br /> that all required forms are filled out and signed correctly. Additionally,they may be responsible for vehicle sales and <br /> ownership transfers. <br /> Essential Functions: <br /> 1. Verify that ownership documents match VIN's on the physical vehicle received and that the documents comply <br /> with local, state and federal laws. <br /> 2. Schedule appointments with customer's and/or contract tow vendors for vehicle pick ups. <br /> 3. Purchase all vehicles that are delivered to the Store, in accordance with local, state and federal laws and <br /> company policy. <br /> 4. Receive the vehicles delivered daily in the CFJC database via the receiving handheld and/or manual entry. <br /> 5. Issue payments for vehicles and tows while maintaining and managing the daily check summary. <br /> 6. Organize, maintain,and retain copies/files for routing sheets, vehicle transfers, sales and purchases. <br /> 7. Monitor and respond to incoming and outgoing telephone calls and faxes. <br /> 8. Sort, process and ship documents for processing, as required. <br /> 9. Produce the daily,weekly and monthly reports, as required. <br /> 10. Complete any due diligence needed for vehicle purchasing's weekly exception lists <br /> 11. Must comply with all local, state and federal laws regarding vehicle purchasing. <br /> 12. Additional duties as assigned. <br /> Qualifications: <br /> 1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. <br /> 2. Proficient in general computer skills such as data entry and e-mail. <br /> 3. Able to communicate with customers/vendors in a professional and efficient manner. <br /> 4. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. <br /> 5. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. <br /> 6. Ability to use time wisely and prioritize multiple competing tasks. <br /> 7. Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English. <br /> 8. Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including overtime. <br /> 9. Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required. <br /> 10. Ability to obtain and retain knowledge of company policies and procedures. <br /> 11. Basic automotive knowledge/experience preferred but not required <br /> Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions: <br /> 1. Standing, lifting,walking, bending, and stretching are required regularly to perform customer care, production, and <br /> environmental/safety responsibility functions. <br /> 2. Just have the ability to maintain the cleanliness of the VPO facility by mopping, sweeping, etc. as required. <br /> 3. Vision must be sufficient to perform job functions safely as described above. <br /> 4. Able to work on feet(stand and walk)for assigned work shift. <br /> Job Conditions: <br /> 1. Exposure on a regular basis to all outdoor weather conditions. <br /> 2.
