Laurence Livermore <br />National Laiwratory <br />A Heritage of ExceUe c <br />ACOMMITMENT <br />TO THE FUTURE <br />A Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory <br />The <br />Environmental Protection Department <br />invites you to attend <br />Environmental Day <br />Saturday, October 24, 1992 <br />Join LLNL scientists and staff for tours, <br />seminars, demonstrations and <br />information booths <br />on how LLNL is working <br />to clean-up and protect the environment. <br />S E P 1 2 1992 <br />kNVi ONMENTAL HEr'1l.Th <br />One of LLNL's responsibilities is to better understand the environment and develop <br />technologies that will assist the nation to address environmental issues. <br />On Environmental Day we will have the opportunity to share with you the work being done <br />here at LLNL to improve our environment. Many Laboratory organizations will be <br />participating in Environmental Day together with the Environmental Protection Department. <br />They include the Biology and Biotechnology Research Program, Earth Sciences, Energy <br />Management Program, Hazards Control, and Environmental Restoration and Waste <br />Management, Research, Development, Demonstration, Testing and Evaluation Program. <br />We have a variety of activities planned for you, your family, and friends. Many are designed <br />with children in mind. These activities include tours, short talks, demonstrations, and <br />information booths about LLNL activities, research, and plans for the future. You can drop by <br />anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for most of the activities. Tours are scheduled for specific <br />times and you must register for a tour in advance (space is limited). We have enclosed a program for <br />the day's activities and the tour registration form for you to complete. Please send your completed <br />tour registration form back to us by September 24. Tour arrangements will be confirmed with you. <br />I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible at Environmental Day.
