Cal/EPA <br />Department of <br />Toxic Substances <br />Control <br />700 Heinz Avenue <br />Suite 200 <br />Berkeley, CA <br />94710-2737 <br />N <br />w <br />NOTICE OF FINAL PERMIT DECISION <br />under <br />California Code of Regulations <br />Issuance Date: October 9, 1997 <br />In accordance with the requirements of California Code of Regulations, <br />Title 22 (22 CCR), Section 66271.14, we are providing you with a notice of our <br />decision to issue a final hazardous waste facility permit for: <br />Explosive Waste Treatment Facility <br />Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory - Site 300 <br />Near Tracy, San Joaquin County, California <br />EPA ID No. CA 2890090002 <br />The facility is owned by: <br />United States Department of Energy <br />1301 Clay Street, Suite 70ON <br />Oakland, California 94551 <br />From June 20, 1997 through August 4, 1997, the Berkeley Office of the <br />California Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Toxic Substances <br />Control (DTSC) requested public comments on the intent to issue a permit for <br />construction and operation of the Explosives Wastes Treatment Facility at <br />Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory - Site 300 near Tracy, California. <br />The Explosives Wastes Treatment Facility will use open detonation/open <br />burning to treat explosives wastes. <br />The permit was signed and issued on October 9, 1997.
