Mr. Michelle Henry, San Joaquin County September 18, 2008 <br />Response to the Hazardous Waste Violation Issued by San Joaquin County Page 2 <br />Environmental Health Department to LLNL, Site 300 EPA ID No. CA2890090002 <br />Response: Based on information provided by the generator, evaluation of the waste generation <br />process and material used in the process, a representative sample was analyzed for Title 22 <br />TTLC metals, oil and grease, and the acute aquatic 96 -hour LC50fish bioassay test, pursuant to <br />22 CCR 66262.11, Hazardous Waste Determination and 22 CCR 66264.13, General Waste <br />Analysis in order to determine the hazardous waste Characteristics and/or Listing applicability <br />found in 22 CCR Division 4.5, Chapter 11, Identification and Listing of Hazardous Waste. <br />The attached results indicate the waste is non -hazardous. LLNL Site 300 is not authorized by the <br />Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board to discharge this waste to the sewage <br />oxidation and percolation pond; therefore, the waste will be transported to a permitted off-site <br />Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility for final disposal.
