(Ground Zero) is submitting <br /> this Workplan and Sensitive Receptor Survey on behalf of Tuff-.,Boy Trailers. The Workplan describes <br /> the proposed methodology to install and sample four groundwater;�monitoring wells at the subject <br /> i property. The Sensitive Receptor Survey describes the locations and known construction details of 1 <br /> water supply and/or irrigation wells within 2,000 feet of the project site. Figure 1 presents the location <br /> of the project site. <br /> BACKGROUND INFORMATION i <br /> Site Description and Hydrogeologic Setting <br /> The project site, currently operating as metal fabrication facility, is located approximately 2 '/z miles <br /> south of Highway 120, and approximately 3 ' iles south of <br /> /2 mdowntown Manteca. The nearest natural <br /> drainage feature is Walthall Slough, located approximately 4 /s mile southwest of the property. <br /> } Predominant land use in the site vicinity is agricultural. The elevation, of the ground surface at the site <br /> # is approximately 25 feet above sea level. The ground surface,in thel site vicinity slopes gently to the <br /> southwest. Shallow groundwater beneath the site occurs at a depth of approximately 10 feet below <br /> ground surface(bgs). <br /> Initial Investigation and Underground Storage Tank Removal <br /> The site previously utilized one 1,100-gallon UST for storage of unleaded gasoline (Figure 2). <br /> The UST was removed under permit from PHS/EHD on February 5, 1999.
