Y 11 <br /> If <br /> GROUND ZERO ANALYSIS, INC. <br /> 1714 Maw Street <br /> Escalon,California 95320-1927 <br /> Telephone (209)838-9888 <br /> Facsimile (209)838-9883 <br /> August 15, 2003 <br /> Mr Martin Harris <br /> Tuff Boy Trailers <br /> 5151 Almondwood Drive <br /> Manteca, CA 95337 <br /> Subject Second Quarter 2003 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Tuff Boy Trailers, 5151 Almondwood Drive, Manteca, CA, Site Code 1424 <br /> Dear Mr Hams <br /> This letter report presents the results of second quarter 2003 groundwater monitoring and sampling <br /> activities at the subject site (Figure 1) <br /> Background <br /> The site previously utilized one 1,100-gallon UST for storage of unleaded gasoline The UST <br /> was removed under permit from San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> in February 1999 Soil samples collected beneath the tank contained ethylbenzene and total <br /> xylenes at levels exceeding the respective laboratory detection limits and additional work was <br /> required by EHD <br /> Three soil borings were drilled in December 1999 to investigate the extent of soil and <br /> groundwater contamination near the former UST Results of the investigation indicated that soil <br /> and groundwater had been impacted by an unauthorized release of gasoline from the former UST <br /> Four groundwater monitoring wells were installed in January 2001 to investigate the extent of <br /> groundwater contamination beneath the site Analytical results indicated that soil contamination <br /> attenuated rapidly with depth and did not appear to extend deeper than approximately 12-13 feet <br /> below surface grade (bsg) Very low levels of gasoline constituents were detected in groundwater <br /> beneath the site, although the extent of contamination appears to be limited to within approximately <br /> 60-80 feet of the former UST No wells could be installed upgradient or within 15 feet of the <br /> former UST due to property boundaries and surface obstructions <br /> Site Activities <br /> Activities at the site included monitoring all site wells, purging and sampling groundwater from all <br /> G�GROUNDZaTuffBoylR,ports\QMR12QM2003 doc <br />
