Saturday December 14, 1990 4:00 P M
I received a phone call from Hal Braden at the launch ramp, he asked me
to come down as he thought we had a serious problem. I was ther within five
minutes. The problem was serious. A 38' Diesel Trawler was leaking Diesel
into the river. With authorization from Steve Woodard I had Bonnie call 911.
The volunteer fire departments fire truck was in my park, and arrived at
the scene within ten minutes. Doug and I had our booms and pillows ready
when they arrived. The firemen started to arrange the booms and pillows
and was assisted by the Fish and Game Officers when they arrived.
I have a key to Honker Cut Marines property which allowed the firemen a
short cut to their Firestation. They furnished what materials they had in stock.
The Fish and Game went after more Booms which was a heavier type material
called 3-M.
I stopped Bonnie on her way home, she clocked out at 5:00 P Mrand asked her
if she would mind going back to the offeic and await the call from the Owner
of the boat, she agreed and stayed until the call came by 7:00 PM.
The Coast Guard arrived at 8:00 PM and departed by 9:00 PM.
SUNDAY DECEMBER 15, 1990
Fish and Game Officers back at 8:00 AM Departed about 11:30 AN.
Coast Guard Officers arrived 9:00 AM Departed 11=00 AM.
Officers in charge:
BRIAN L.
