O. 'D 2309 J 0$ ®> a l
Stockton, California 95201
Dear Mr. Favila: k
On December 21, 1990, you faxed an invoice to our facility at Stockton in the amount of
$2400.00 for hazardous waste generated at that site. Your cover sheet indicated that a
100% penalty would be applied after January 1, 1991.
Please be advised that this is the first time Santa Fe was notified that this amount was
due San Joaquin County. Please also be advised that the address (5200 East Sheila Street)
on the invoice is incorrect and that the address has been incorrect for over one year. I
assume the invoice was returned to San Joaquin County as it was never received at this
office. Due to the short notice, Santa Fe is unable to process a check and have it mailed
to your office by January 1, 1991.
The faxed invoice, which was subsequently faxed to me, is unclear as to what time period
is addressed. It did indicate that the permit was for a facility which generated between 50
and 280 tons of hazardous waste. Please note that in 1989, less than one ton was
generated, and in 1990, 8.5 tons was generated. As such, it appears the invoiced amount is
incorrect.
I will wait to hear from you before processing a check for this Health Permit.
Very truly yours,
Mark Stehly
General Director-Technical Services
By Clark,
David C.
