Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of a <br /> manifests for three years or until a copy signed off by the destination facility is received. The signed off copy shall be <br /> retained and made readily available for review for three years. If the generator did not receive a copy of the manifest wit <br /> the handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the facility to which the generator's waste was submitted within 60 <br /> days of the date the waste was accepted by the initial transporter, the generator shall submit a legible copy of the missin <br /> manifest, with some indication that the generator has not received confirmation of delivery. This information shall be <br /> submitted to: <br /> DTSC Report Repository <br /> Generator Information Services Section <br /> P.O. Box 806 <br /> Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 <br /> Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifest or prepare and submit the required information to DISC. Submit to th <br /> EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifest or a copy of the information submitted to DTSC. This is a Class II <br /> violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by November 13, 2014. <br /> Consent to perform the inspection, take photos and collect samples was given by Ravinder Singh, owner. <br /> NOTE: (corrected on site) A 55 gallon black steel drum which previously contained gasoline contaminated liquid <br /> was observed in the hazardous waste storage area with no empty labeling. According to Mr. Ravinder Singh, the <br /> liquid in this drum was absorbed with solids and disposed of with the hazardous waste solids on June 12, 2014. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they <br /> were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. The drum was labeled at the time of inspection. <br /> This facility generated 0.125 tons of hazardous waste in the last calendar year (Jan-Dec 2013). <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
