• • <br /> `'j GENERAL PRETREAVIE r INLUSTRIAL USERS <br /> PERMIT CONDITIONS <br /> 1. Permittee shall not - allow any materials or any liquid <br /> waste to be discharged into the City of Stockton sewage <br /> system which could be harmful. to the system or create a <br /> hazard or nuisance, as defined in Section 7-089 . 1 <br /> through 7-089. 18 of- the City of Stockton Minicipal Code. <br /> If the Permittee is found to be".'responsible for damage <br /> to the City of Stockton Storm or Sanitary system, or for <br /> the excessive deposits of objectionable materials in <br /> said systems, Permittee may be required to bear the cost <br /> to the City for cleaning, or shall restore the affected <br /> part of the system to proper working condition. A <br /> violation of any provision of these Permit Conditions, <br /> Local codes, or the Federal Pretreatment Regulation may <br /> result in fines up ;to $6,000 per day for each violation <br /> or civil/criminal action. <br /> 2. Industrial User shall not allow any pollutants , in- <br /> cluding oxygen demanding pollutants (30D, etc. ) to be <br /> released at a flora-;rate and/or pollutant concentration <br /> which a User knows,. or has reason to know, will cause <br /> interference to the` EO2W. In no case. shall a sudden, <br /> unexpected discharge have a flow rate or contain concen- <br /> trations of qualities of pollutants that exceed for any <br /> time period longer 'than 15 minutes more than five times <br /> the average 24-honr:.concentration, quantities, or flow <br /> during normal operation (7.089. 11 City Code) . <br /> 3. Permittee shall iasu=e that all pretreatment facilities , <br /> including but not limited to flow measuring and sampling <br /> equipment, are maintained in proper working order at all <br /> times; and that flow .measuring devices are calibrated <br /> for accuracy by an approved qualified technician not <br /> less thantwice per year, or upon request of an <br /> authorized City of ' Stockton representative. Seasonal <br /> industries will have devices calibrated prior to the <br /> start of each season. <br /> 4. Ia the event a required flow measuring or sampling <br /> device is found to be inoperative or providing <br /> unreliable information, as determined by authorized City <br /> of Stockton personnel, maxd m,m quantities for parameters <br /> being measured may be used unless a previously <br /> negotiated amount can be verified by production <br /> statistics and water usage until such time as the <br /> equipment is restored to proper working order to the <br /> satisfaction of the Department of Municipal Utilities_ <br />
