The <br />District Atorney's Office and PHS-EHD immediately started <br />working on this case to force cleanup of the abandoned <br />hazardous waste. Search warrants were issued and samples were <br />taken on 2-11-93. On October 14,1993, an Auction was held to <br />liquidate the machinery and equipment at the facility: During <br />the removal of the equipment from the site, after the auction; <br />new hazardous waste was created and health and safety <br />conditions within the facility have deteriorated. CAL -EPA, <br />Department of Toxic Substances Control and PHS-EHD made an <br />inspection of the facility on 10-28-93: Enforcement actions <br />will continue in order to abate the environmental hazards, <br />through the District Attorney's office. <br />COMPLAINT <br />Original complaint received from District Attorney's Office <br />Concerning abandoned hazardous waste. <br />DISPOSITION <br />1. Copy of Stockton Record article dated 11-1-92 accounting <br />the closure of the site. <br />2.
