This proposal is presented under the <br />same terms and conditions presented in the April 28, 1993 phase II Environmental <br />Assessment Proposal (Attachments 4 and 5). ASE still intends to use C.K.C., Inc., a <br />certified hazardous waste handler and transporter with extensive experience in <br />hazardous waste removal and soil rernediation, to accomplish Tasks I - 5 in the <br />Scope of Services below. <br />Sca a of Services <br />Task I -Identify and Label Unknown Chemicals <br />Liquid chemicals contained in the sump and vats located in the Plating Room <br />which are not labeled will be characterized using the Diaz Cat field screening method_ <br />Information obtained from the Flaz Cat field screening will be used to determine <br />Compatibility of the liqusd chemicals present for transportation and disposal_ For the <br />purpose cf estimating a budget for this project, C.K.C. has assumed that a maximum <br />of 10 samples will be screened in the field. C_K.C. has assumed that laboratory <br />testing of chemicals will not be required. In the event that field testing results are <br />not adequate for this project, additional costs will be required for necessary <br />laboratory analysis. <br />C.KC. anticipates that one day will be required to complete the inventory and <br />Haz Cat testing activities. Labeling of containers identified during Task 1 will consist <br />of placing hand -drawn labels on each container or set of containers_ These labels will <br />not conform, nor are they intended to conform, with regulations regarding the <br />labeling of chemical containers_ <br />Task 2 - Emptjr, Stearn Clean, and Remove Vats in Plating Room <br />Approximately 80 vats ranging in size from cellon capacity to 1,000 -gallon <br />capacity contairdng processing chemicals are currently present within the Plating <br />10'd 9E : U 1 NON H6 9- -.100 <br />
