The sample is to be compare to "41008-03" [U8D1412-031 according to COC
U8D1410.
On April 16,2008 a diluted sample,(4.Omg/ 1.5ml)was analyzed by gas chromatography/mass
spectrometry under the conditions of EPA Method 8270C Semivolatile Organic Compounds by GUMS.
This method is designed to look for part-per-billion levels of organic compounds having boiling points
between 150° - 300°C. The GUMS software utilizes the National Bureau of Standards 75K library that
contains the reference spectra of 75,000 common natural and synthetic organic compounds.
On April 17, 2008 the sample data was reviewed and compared to "41008-03" U8D1412-03 sample
and along with diesel, motor oil and mineral oil standards. The samples U8131410-01 and U8131412-03
exhibited a similar chromatography pattern to each other, and both samples closely resembled a motor
oil pattern.
In summary based on the data, the unknown dark brown liquid of sample U8D1410-01 "Sloan Ct 1 "
and the unknown dark brown liquid of sample U8DI412-03 "41008-03" are similar and could be the
same product.
