Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be <br /> marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and <br /> manage all empty containers per this section. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> Two 55 gallon drums of hazardous waste, one of oily absorbent and one of an unknown waste, were observed in the <br /> hazardous waste storage area with no hazardous waste labeling. The fill containment box at the east red dye diesel <br /> tank was observed containing red liquid. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following <br /> information: <br /> -the,words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties (ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> - physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. Since <br /> it cannot be determined how long these wastes have been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste <br /> hauler to dispose of these wastes under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of <br /> lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading for used oil filters <br /> for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection. The EHD has written the <br /> complete report which replaces the initial checklist. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, within 30 days of receiving the complete inspection report. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
