Public contact with wastewater shall be precluded through such weans as fences, signs, and <br /> other acceptable alternatives. Signs with appropriate wording of sufficient size shall be <br /> placed at areas of access and around the perimeter of all areas used for effluent disposal to <br /> alert the public of the use of reclaimed water. <br /> 30. Application of wastewater to the reclamation area shall be at agronomic rates considering the <br /> crop, soil, climate, and irrigation management.system. <br /> 31. The following setback/buffer zones shall be provided at the disposal areas: <br /> Setback Distance (feet) <br /> Disposal Field to Property Line 25 <br /> Disposal Field to On-site Irrigation Well 100 <br /> Disposal Field to Domestic WeII 500 <br /> Disposal Field to Any Food Crop Fields 100 <br /> Disposal Field to Drainage Course 100 <br /> 32. Areas irrigated with reclaimed water shall be managed to prevent breeding of mosquitos. <br /> More specifically, <br /> a. Tail water must be returned and all applied irrigation water must infiltrate completely <br /> within a 48-hour.period ` <br /> b. Ditches not serving as wildlife habitat should be maintained free of emergent, marginal., <br /> and floating vegetation. <br /> 5 <br /> c. Low-pressure and unpressurized pipelines and ditches accessible to mosquitos shall not <br /> be used to store reclaimed water. <br /> w . <br /> 33"` Reclamation of wastewaters shall not be used for irrigating food crops for human <br /> consumption nor shall these waters be used in recreational impoundments. <br /> 34. Reclaimed wastewater for irrigation shall be managed to minimie erosion, runo$ and <br /> movement of aerosols from the disposal area. <br /> 35, Storm water runoff from the irrigation field shall not be discharged to any surface water <br /> drainage course within 3 0 days of the last application of reclaimed water. <br />
