Simplot Inspection <br /> Tank No. 8 August 27-28,2008 <br /> Lathrop, CA Page 26 of 54 <br /> 5.5 NOZZLE INSPECTION <br /> The internal / external shell nozzle welds were inspected utilizing VT inspection <br /> methods. <br /> The tank shell and roof nozzle UT data was collected utilizing random readings. One <br /> reading per reinforcement pad, flange face, and cover (when applicable) was taken (ref. <br /> Sections 4.4.2 and 4.5.2). <br /> 5.6 FIXED ROOF INSPECTION <br /> The internal 1 external fixed roof plates were inspected utilizing VT inspection method. <br /> The fixed roof deck plate UT data was collected utilizing random readings. Five (5) <br /> readings per plate were taken (ref. Table D). Reference Section 2.0 for findings. There <br /> were areas which exceeded 0.090 inch or less (ref.
