This spill occurred due to a faulty check valve at 1335 and was reported to <br /> your office at 1350. Michelle Henry was onsite late that afternoon to report on the release and <br /> cleanup activities. Calls were also placed to State and County OES report # 08-5758 as well as <br /> the NRC, report # 879994. The acid was neutralized and the effected soil was removed and will <br /> be reused in the production process. Procedures have been put in place to ensure valves are <br /> properly closed and check valves are not solely relied upon.
