A puddle in <br /> front of the wash area with an oil sheen was also observed. Tim Domelen stated that the wash area waste <br /> water is used to wash dirty equipment and the water is pumped into the lined pond and reused. <br /> This is a violation of HSC Section 25189.5(a). The disposal of any hazardous waste, or the causing <br /> thereof, is prohibited when the disposal is at a facility which does not have a permit from the department <br /> issued pursuant to this chapter, or at any point which is not authorized according to this chapter. <br /> Immediately cease washing oily mops and oil containers at the wash area. Immediately begin handling <br /> this waste stream as per Title 22 Hazardous Waste Regulations. <br /> Class II Violations <br /> Violation # 10) Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Facility is throwing metal grindings and fine metal powders generated in the electrical (ENI) shop into the <br /> garbage without make determination of its hazardous properties.
