Facility is not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> At time of inspection, wet oil stains around machines in the machine shop, crystallized waste in the <br /> secondary containment of the scrubber tank, oil in the secondary containment of a 55 gal strum storing <br /> new oil, oil on the ground by the wax tank and dark damp areas in the field on the West side of the <br /> property were seen. Immediately, clean the affected areas and dispose of waste generated according to <br /> Title 22 Hazardous Waste Regulations. Facility must use best management practices to avoid future <br /> occurrences. Submit disposal records to this office within 30 days of receipt of this inspection report. <br /> 18. Stored hazardous waste onsite for longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> 3 small bottles of hazardous waste and 1-5 gallon bucket of mercury waste, seen in the lab storage area <br /> did not have the accumulation start date, thus it could not be determined how long the waste has been <br /> kept on site. Immediately dispose of the above listed waste according to Title 22 Hazardous Waste <br /> Regulations. Submit disposal records to this office within 30 days of receipt of this inspection report. <br /> 20. Failed to completely label containers of hazardous waste. <br /> The following containers were observed in the lab storage area: <br /> 3-1 gallon containers labeled with accumulation start date and content (acetone waste). <br /> 3 small bottles of hazardous waste without a hazardous waste label. <br /> 1-5 gallon bucket with mercury waste without a hazardous waste label. <br /> Hazardous waste containers must be labeled with at least the following information: <br /> the words "Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, contents, accumulation start date, <br /> physical state and hazardous properties. Immediately, properly label all containers of hazardous waste. <br /> Submit proof of corrective action to this office within 30 days of receipt of this inspection report. <br /> Notes: <br /> A copy of the return to compliance certification must be submitted to this office, with a statement <br /> addressing how each of the above listed violations has been corrected, within 30 days of receipt of this <br /> inspection report. <br /> Provided labeling instructions <br /> Provided free CUPA class information. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($115). <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector: Received By: Title: <br /> EHD 23-02-003 Rev 06701!10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
