Response to Alleged Violations <br /> #15: Failed to maintain spill control equipment. <br /> This item was due to an accumulation of oil inside a secondary containment container.The container <br /> had been inspected the prior week with no findings.After investigating the cause of the oil it was <br /> determined that a "pin hole" leak was found in the bottom of the drum.The oil inside the drum was <br /> transferred to a new properly labeled container and the secondary containment was cleaned and <br /> residual oil properly disposed of.This item was corrected 6-16-2011 during the inspection. <br /> #49: Personnel training record incomplete. <br /> During a review of log sheets for the neutralization of test solutions in the lab it was discovered that <br /> more than 1 gallon batches were being neutralized.The procedure states no more than 1 gallon at a <br /> time shall be neutralized. Also, laboratory employees were last trained on 5-20-2010 on neutralization <br /> procedures. Annual refresher training was completed for lab personnel with the exception of an <br /> employee that is vacation.That employee will be retrained upon their return to work.Training records <br /> have been attached. <br /> *Items not listed on Field Inspection Reported but noted on Official Inspection Report: <br /> Professionally Engineered SPCC Plan is not current. <br /> • Emergency contact address for S!C OES is not current. <br /> Address has been updated on SPCC Plan. <br /> • Inconsistent tank capacity diesel fire pump tank. <br /> Plan has been updated to reflect correct tank capacities on inventory and written plan. <br /> • Plan states that gasoline and diesel fuel tank will be inspected every 10 years. <br /> The tank was inspected per APCD permit requirements on 1-29-2010 and 11-18-05 for AST Static <br /> pressure Performance TP 201.36.The plan will be updated to reflect testing methods and <br /> frequencies. <br />
