1 The Teflon bailer used to purge the wells and collect the water samples was thoroughly
decontaminated prior to each use to prevent cross -contamination of samples Decontamination
of the bailer consisted of an initial wash with an alconox/potable water solution followed by a
potable water rinse, and a final rinse with distilled water The thin nylon line used to lower the
bailer was removed and discarded after each use
All purge water from the wells and decontamination rinsate was transferred to a 700 -gallon poly -
tank located onsite Currently the tank contains approximately 500 gallons of water which
consists of well development water, purge water, and decontamination ansate Prior to leaving
the site, a sample of the tank water was collected for analysis of TPH-G by EPA Method 8015-
M and BTEX by EPA Method 8020. The analytical results of this sample (labeled "Tank 1")
will be used to determine how the water will be disposed.
All field activities were performed an accordance with WESTON's site specific health and safety
plan, which was available onsite during field activities A safety meeting was held with field
personnel prior to starting work in order to review anticipated safety hazards and emergency
procedures. The field work for this project was performed under Level D personal safety
protection.
ip
1 S XC\RPTSIAREC4grR WP
