Upon s u c h timely <br />16 not ice, the People will appear in person or in writing (at the People's di scretion) in such <br />17 s ubsequ ent litigation to explain th e effect of th is Final Judgment o n such litigation. If the Peo ple <br />18 determine that the s ub sequent litigati o n is barred by the princip les in thi s paragraph, the Pe o ple <br />19 w ill support Wal-Mart in arguing that the subsequent l itigat ion is barred by the principle o f res <br />20 judicata . <br />2 I 7.5 T h e provisions of paragraph 7.1 arc effective on the date of entry of the Consent <br />22 Judgment.
