Four partially full oil containers, seven partially full aerosol cans, and two partially full paint cans <br /> were left among the junk and trash behind the minimart without first determining hazardous properties. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop <br /> accumulating containers of oil, aerosols, and paint among the junk and trash, make a hazardous waste <br /> determination for the waste oil, aerosols, and paint, and manage it according to Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed <br /> by March 5, 2014. <br /> 301. Outside behind the mini mart, oil has spilled from a partially full container of oil onto the surrounding <br /> concrete. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or <br /> release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the <br /> environment. Immediately clean up the spilled oil, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed <br /> by March 5, 2014. <br /> 405. The employee Mayra Lopez stated that the drums of hazardous waste behind the mini mart are only <br /> checked several times a year. Containers of hazardous waste must be inspected weekly.
