~ SAN JOAQUIN
MEMORANDUM
DATE: July 16, 2007
TO: Toua Yang JUL 1 6 2007
ENVIRONMENT HEALTH
FROM: David C Lyon PERIATiSERVICES
SUBJECT: Hazardous Waste Inspection Report
Here is the update on what corrections are put into place for the violations we received
on your inspection of our facility at 1533 E. Lindsay Street, Stockton, CA. concerning
our "Hazardous Waste Generator Program Inspection Report". This inspection is
performed on an annual basis and my understanding is that RTD has 30 days from the
date of the inspection to respond to the violations, which this memo does.
#19 — Stockton Service Station will have the "Test Water" pumped out of
the drum and they will pick up the drum by Friday June 15, 2007.
#19 — 200 gallon container labeled "Used Antifreeze" has been pumped
out and properly labeled with a new accumulation start date. A copy of
the disposal manifest is attached. Completed on June 15, 2007.
#20 — The gray Brute container has been removed. The contents were
put in the properly marked container. The antifreeze container now has
the proper label on it with all the correct information.
#49 — Employee training, has been setup through TRE Consulting. This
goes into affect immediately. The current training manual is not working
and that is the reason RTD is hiring an outside vendor to assist in the
training.
#77 — Arrangements have been made to have Safety Kleen pick up all of
our spent fluorescent tubes. The manifest is attached and a new start
date with the Universal tag has been added to the new container. The
batteries were picked up today, June 15, 2007 and the manifest is
attached. New storage buckets with the accumulation start date are in
place.
#91 — The two drums have been properly discarded. No longer needed.
Working with TRE Consulting to see if RTD needs to apply with SB14 and
if so it will be completed as scheduled.
We treat our customers, community, and each other with respect, integrity, and loyalty.
We promote a positive work environment by supporting each other through effective communication,
teamwork, and appreciation for our diverse abilities and contributions.
