TPH was not encountered in any of the samples collected during this investigation.
Free product was not observed during the groundwater investigation.
• I
t BTEX. Benzene and total xylenes were detected in the groundwater samples. The analytical
results for the soil samples collected above the groundwater interface were below the
detection limit of the analyses for TPH and BTEX. The concentrations of benzene and total
xylenes detected in the groundwater do not appear consistent vein liquid flow of gasoline(by
gravity) to water; this is supported by the absence of quar!tifiabI.- levels of TPH
concentration in the groundwater, and the absence of free product. The detected
concentration of benzene and total xylenes may have occurred as a result of vapor diffusion
of these chemicals through the soil to water.
Fecal Coliform. Elevated level of fecal coliform were detected in MW-2 and MW-3 at 2 f
•-- MPN/100ml and 5 MPN/100ml, respectively. The source of the elevated feral coliform
levels in our opinion does not originate from the gasoline tank excavation area.
f
3'
9MMSA.1"ORMARTNP 10.09-91MILI! 4-2
,+y
