Longe St. <br />Stockton, Ca 95206 <br />Phone 209-982-5585 <br />Fax 209-983-4050 <br />Email: josephine@premierfinishing.com <br />RD <br />TO: Paint Mixer and Painters Employee Signature: IVED <br />FROM: Premier Finishing Management AUG 0 5 2014 <br />SUBJECT: NEW PAINT MIXING POLICY <br />Unused/Left Over Paint Policy:NTAL HEALTH <br />DEPARTMENT <br />To ensure the safety of the environment and its employees, Premier Finishing is instating <br />a mandatory left over paint policy that all solvent paints and all water-based paints be <br />collected in a 5 gallon drum in the paint mixing room then relocated to a 55 gallon drum <br />at the end of the day. <br />• There should be (two) 5 gallon paint buckets located in the paint mixing room <br />to store Solvent Based Paints and Water -Based Paint. <br />• When mixing paint in the poly bags provided, the unused paint left over needs <br />to be collected in the 5 gallon bucket located and stored in the mixing room; <br />one for Solvent Based and one for Water Based paint. <br />. • The poly bags need to be turned inside out and allowed to dry before <br />conveying into the garbage receptacle. <br />• Filters, sticks and left over bags will be collected and allowed to dry before <br />conveying into the garbage receptacle. <br />• When painters are painting product and they have left over solvent paint, they <br />are required as well, to put left over solvent paint into the 5 gallon drum <br />located in the paint mixing room. <br />• It is the responsibility of the painter to correctly convey & sort solvent based <br />and water-based paint they used into the correct 5 gal bucket and tum the poly <br />bags inside out. <br />• It is the responsibility of the paint mixer to collect the solvent and water-based <br />paints in the paint mixing room in separate 5 gal buckets. Convey the (two) 5 <br />gallon buckets and pours the paint into the drums located in the accumulation <br />area. <br />• At the end of each day the paint mixer needs to convey the unused paint from <br />the paint mixing room to the correct drum located in the accumulation area <br />outside in the berm area. (Drums will be labeled Solvent -Based & Water - <br />Based) <br />Premier wants to ensure the safety of all of its employees by providing them with an <br />adequate left over paint protection policy in order to help reduce environmental issues.
