Longe St. <br />Stockton, Ca 95206 <br />Phone 209-982-5585 <br />Fax 209-983-4050 <br />Email: josephine@premierfinishing.com <br />TO: Mitch Carrasco/Facility janitorial " ECOVED <br />FROM: Premier Finishing Management AUG 0 5 2014 <br />SUBJECT: NEW CONTAMINATED RAG POLICY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br />Contaminated Rag Policy: 7TEgRTMENT <br />To ensure the safety of the environment and its employees, Premier Finishing is instating <br />a mandatory contaminated rag policy that all solvent contaminated rags and all regular <br />dirty and dusty contaminated rags be collected separately in hazardous red safety cans <br />through -out the facility then relocated to separate 55 gallon drums at the end of the day <br />by Mitch Carrasco, the Facility Janitorial Supervisor. The 55 gal drums will be located in <br />the accumulation area outside in the berm area. <br />1. There will be red hazardous cans located through -out the facility to store A. <br />Solvent Contaminated Rags and B. Dirtv/Dusty Contaminated Rags <br />2. It is the responsibility of ALL EMPLOYEES to convey the correct contaminated <br />rags into the correct cans located through -out the facility. <br />3. At the end of the facility janitorial' scheduled work day, he will collect the <br />contaminated rags through -out the facility and convey them into their correct 55 <br />gal drum located in the accumulation area outside in the berm area. <br />4. 55 gal containers must be labeled with the hazardous waste label and maintained <br />closed. Disposal — contact hazardous waste for removal and disposal of waste <br />5. After the 55 gal drums are full they will be transported around the corner to <br />Hazardous Waste. A receipt will be obtained for future references. <br />Premier wants to ensure the safety of all of its employees by providing them with an <br />adequate contaminated rag protection policy in order to help reduce environmental issues. <br />In doing this Premier Finishing is making sure that all safety precautions are taken to <br />provide a safe work environment. <br />These containers must be labeled with the Hazardous Waste Label and maintained closed <br />• Disposal — Contact Hazardous Waste for removal and disposal of waste containers <br />MANAGEMENT <br />THREE SAFETY VIOLATIONS can result in up to and including TERbIINATION! <br />P:/ safety & environmental/Safety/policies/Contaminated Rags policy 2014 <br />
