During the process facility generate Chromium VI as waste and through reduction method <br /> converting it to chromium III. Facility is treating hazardous waste without a permit. Pursuant to Health <br /> and Safety code section 25189.5(d) and 25201(a) a facility treating HW must obtain a permit from the <br /> local agency prior to treatment. Immediately, submit appropriate document and forms to the <br /> Environmental Health Department to obtain a permit for the treatment of HW. <br /> #7. Facility has a white powder generated from sending products thrown on the ground. Pursuant to <br /> California Code of Regulation section 66262.11 a facility generating waste must make a determination if <br /> waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately, determine the status of the waste and if hazardous handle it <br /> according to title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit proof of corrective action to this office by <br /> 7/4/10, <br /> #20. 2 - 55 gallon drums storing HW and 2 - 5 gallon bucket, was not labeled, 1 - 55 gallon drum <br /> labeled empty had waste in it, 1 - 55 gallon drum had HW label with no accumulation start date. <br /> Pursuant to CCR section 66262.34(d) a facility must label a HW container with at least the following <br /> information: the word "Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, accumulation start date, <br /> content, physical state and hazardous properties. Begin practice immediately.
