Minor Violations <br /> Failed to determine if waste is a hazardous waste. Several one gallon paint cans stored in the <br /> boxcars e d or future purpose, per Paul. Paint cans were brought over from the closed <br /> Dixon facility. Once the item is a was , aste <br /> according to California Code of Regulations, Title 22, HW Regs and dispose of the paint cans <br /> accordingly OR handle the paint cans as hazardous waste. <br /> # 23. Failed to drain used oil filters of free-flowing oil. Approximately 4 used oil filters stored in a 5 gallon <br /> bucket located in the boxcar shed are not drained of used oil. Two oil filters have been removed from <br /> the five gallon bucket and drained into the 55 gallon used oil drum. Correct by having the used oil filters <br /> be drained of free-flowing oil. Ensure that all used oil filters are drained prior to storing them. <br /> - Failed to keep used oil filters in close container with initial date of accumulation and labeled as <br /> "Drained used oil filters". Used oil filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as <br /> "drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately containerize the <br /> drained used oil filters into a secure container with a lid/cover, labeled as "Drained used oil filters" and <br /> mark the date of accumulation. <br /> # 30. Empty HW/ Hazardous Material containers >5 gallons not marked with date it was empty. Several <br /> 55 gallon drums and 2 portable AST approximately 75 gallons formerly containing assorted motor oil, <br /> waste oil arrived from the closed Dixon and Marysville facilities are stored along the fence inbetween the <br /> boxcard shed and the storage shed. Containers largar than five gallons that previously held a hazardous <br /> material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being <br /> emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers. If disposing the drums, maintain disposal <br /> receipt onsite for a minimum of 3 years. <br /> Submit to SJC EHD within 30 days (11/15/10): <br /> 1. one copy of the completed "Return to Compliance Certification" form <br /> 2. a written corrective action statements for the above violations <br /> Notes: - Facility operations hours 4AM-2PM. Lunch time approx.10AM- best time for facility tour. <br /> - Vehicle maintenance performed offsite at Burns Truck Trailer & Mobile in Ripon <br /> - HW Compliance: Review the Pacific Coast's Environmental Compliance Manual.
