Date: 3128111 <br /> WASTE MANAGEMENT <br /> PURPOSE To provide basic work instructions for handling waste within the plant. <br /> SCOPE This work instruction applies to all activities performed in the plant where <br /> waste is generated. <br /> RESPONSIBILITY I EH&S Manager: Is responsible for verifying the correct implementation of <br /> AUTHORITY this procedure, keeping the records related to this document, and to serve as <br /> liaison with governmental agencies. Environmental Manager is also <br /> responsible for providing the appropriate training and resources for <br /> employees to handle waste properly. <br /> The Environmental Manager or designee: is responsible for performing <br /> weekly inspections of the hazardous waste storage area to ensure this <br /> procedure is followed. <br /> General Trucker& Stores Manager: Are responsible for controlling <br /> access to the waste storage area. The General Trucker is also responsible for <br /> ensuring that drums are properly labeled and secured. <br /> Area/Department Managers: Are responsible for ensuring that employees <br /> under their authority follow these procedures where applicable. <br /> Employees: Are responsible for following the procedures contained in this <br /> document as applicable. <br /> HAZARDOUS WASTE Hazardous waste would be classified on the RCRA Hazardous Waste List <br /> IDENTIFICATION (F-List, K-List, P-List, U-List) or exhibits on the four characteristics of a <br /> hazardous waste—ignitability, corrosivity, reactivity,toxicity.
