All fluorescent <br /> bulbs must be properly placed in a cardboard box labeled with the <br /> words "UNIVERSAL WASTE - USED BULBS" and dated with the <br /> date the bulbs were placed in the box as waste. The cardboard box shall <br /> be closed at all times unless putting bulbs in for proper disposal. <br /> • Batteries—Alkaline/rechargeable batteries collect in 5 gallon bucked in <br /> Stores Room labeled"USED BATTERIES". Collected and taken to the <br /> hazardous waste storage area for disposal by a waste services contractor. <br /> • Aerosol Cans - On-Site processing of aerosol cans by puncturing device <br /> (American Gas Products 7-7 Can Emitor - see attachment) depressurizes <br /> with VOC filter Kit that reduces the VOC's and absorbs the <br /> hydrocarbons. <br /> • Container to catch liquid—secondary containment <br /> • Spill Kit available in hazardous waste storage area <br /> • Aerosol cans are considered scrap once empty <br /> ➢ Only trained employees can operate puncturing device <br /> E-Waste Recycle <br /> • Recycle e-waste (i.e. computers, printers, telephones, cellphones...) <br /> contact the "General Trucker"to pick up any e-waste. The General <br /> Trucker will take out to hazardous waste storage area and put in area for <br /> disposal by an e-waste services contractor. All e-waste must be labeled, <br /> dated and signed. <br />
