Inspection Report : Facility Name <br /> Pilkington North America, Inc. <br /> Class II Violations <br /> 1. On or about December 14, 2010, PNA violated Cal. Code Regs., tit. 22, § 66262.23(a) (4), <br /> in that the facility failed to send copies of the manifests to DTSC within 30 days of each <br /> hazardous waste shipment. <br /> Corrective Action: Within 30 days of receipt of the inspection report, PNA shall submit <br /> evidence that copies of all manifests will be sent to DTSC in the future. At a minimum, PNA <br /> shall detail steps taken that ensure manifests are sent to DTSC. <br /> 2. On December 14, 2010, PNA violated Cal. Code Regs., tit. 22, section 67383.3, in that PNA <br /> failed to provide notification and certification of tank closure from CUPA for the hydrofluoric <br /> acid tank situated in the basement area that was closed. <br /> Corrective Action: Within 30 days of receipt of this report, PNA must submit a complete <br /> certification of tank closure for the hydrofluoric acid tank situated in the basement area that <br /> was closed to the San Joaquin County CUPA and DTSC. <br /> 3. PNA violated Cal. Code Regs., tit. 22, § 66273.34(c) and 66273.33(c) in that PNA failed to <br /> properly mark universal waste lamps and electronic devices with the phase "Universal Waste" <br /> and also failed to contain universal waste lamps in a closed, structurally sound container. In <br /> addition, PNA violated Cal. Code Regs., tit. 22, § 66273.35, in that PNA failed to demonstrate <br /> a date on which the lamps became a waste. <br /> Response: On January 11 , 2011, PNA submitted the required documents to DTSC. <br /> 72 of 73 <br />
