If safe, employees and/or contractors should walk to
main employee parking lot.
Secondary Assembly Areas
These areas should be used only when movement to the prime areas places the
employees and/or contractors in immediate danger.
• just south of the lab/PG & E substation
• in area next to the Marley Water Tower
Assembly Areas: Exceptions
In the case of a chemical release, wind direction and other factors may dictate whether
an evacuation is appropriate. In certain instances, staying inside the building may be
safer. In those cases, the security officer will notify employees via the communication
system, to SHELTER IN PLACE. Employees and/or contractors will be required to
assemble in the break rooms.
In the case of a chemical release, the security officer will as part of notifying employees
of the need to evacuate, give the wind direction so employees and/or contractors can
stay up wind when exiting the facility and/or assembling at a designated area.
Assembly Areas Head Counts
Upon arrival to assembly areas, supervisors will immediately take a head count of
employees and/or contractors under their supervision. If there are missing persons, the
supervisor will notify the human resource personnel and/or security officer who will
notify emergency response personnel.
EVACUATION ROUTES
909R5003 Rev. 5/20/04
