x Document Number: 909 R 5003 <br /> PILKINGTON <br /> Procedure Rev: 5 Date: 5/24/07 <br /> EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br /> I� <br /> Management Incident Response Team <br /> • Team will initially establish command center in the area around the <br /> security house to facilitate.communication and traffic control procedures. <br /> • Team will determine based on various atmospheric conditions whether <br /> the chlorine cloud threatens Pilkington employees and/or Contractors and <br /> make determination to evacuate or shelter in place. Will work with <br /> emergency agencies to facilitate orderly evacuation and establish <br /> locations for employees and/or Contractors to congregate. Additional <br /> responses might be the evacuation of the surrounding area and public <br /> IE notification. <br /> • Team will determine whether to request assistance from Air Gas (800- <br /> 949-7937). <br /> An incident team member will become media officer to coordinate public <br /> relations and media inquiries. Will also keep corporate personnel <br /> apprised of ongoing issues. <br /> • Incident team will be responsible for completing a final incident report to <br /> be issued to corporate after incident has lapsed. <br /> Sulfur Dioxide <br /> Release of sulfur dioxide may occur at three specific locations: within the garage <br /> like structure, located on the northside of the Lehr, and .inside the lehr building. <br /> Release within the lehr will most likely result in immediate discharge through roof <br /> venting system.
