x Document Number: 909 R 5003 PILKINGTON Procedure Rev: 5 Date: 5/24/07 EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES I� Management Incident Response Team • Team will initially establish command center in the area around the security house to facilitate.communication and traffic control procedures. • Team will determine based on various atmospheric conditions whether the chlorine cloud threatens Pilkington employees and/or Contractors and make determination to evacuate or shelter in place. Will work with emergency agencies to facilitate orderly evacuation and establish locations for employees and/or Contractors to congregate. Additional responses might be the evacuation of the surrounding area and public IE notification. • Team will determine whether to request assistance from Air Gas (800- 949-7937). An incident team member will become media officer to coordinate public relations and media inquiries. Will also keep corporate personnel apprised of ongoing issues. • Incident team will be responsible for completing a final incident report to be issued to corporate after incident has lapsed. Sulfur Dioxide Release of sulfur dioxide may occur at three specific locations: within the garage like structure, located on the northside of the Lehr, and .inside the lehr building. Release within the lehr will most likely result in immediate discharge through roof venting system.
