1 <br /> +Af <br /> Document Number: 909 R 5003 <br /> PILKINGTON '� <br /> Procedure n.. } Rev: 5 ,, Date: 5/24/07 <br /> EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br /> - Hazardous-Material Bulk Storage ; fl <br /> Sulfur Dioxide x <br /> A sulfur dioxide dispensing port is located outside on the north side of the lehr. <br /> Two 1 ton cylinders are. located here, one for dispensing and one on standby. <br /> There is a third 1 ton cylinder located about- 50 feet away as a back up (not <br /> connected). <br /> Chlorine <br /> Cylinders are located at each of the- cooling towers and at the sanitary packaged <br /> treatment plant. One to two 100 Ib. cylinders are usually found at the cooling <br /> tower south .of the boiler room and east of the furnace.. Two 100 Ib. cylinders <br /> serve the packaged sanitary treatment plant. Chlorine gas is used continuously to <br /> disinfect the effluent from the treatment plant and at the cooling towers. <br /> Propane Gas <br /> Propane gas is used as fuel in forklifts and as standby fuel for the furnace. The <br /> main propane tank farm (standby fuel) consists of four 40,000 gallon tanks and <br /> one 30,000 gallon tank located to the rear of the facility. In addition to these, a <br /> 1 ,000 gallon tank is located in the same area and used to fuel equipment. <br /> Diesel Fuel <br /> Diesel fuel is located in three tanks: a 10,500 gallon tank south of the furnace <br /> building, a 1 ,000 gallon tank south of the furnace immediately outside the standby <br /> generator door, and a 1.,000.gallon'.tank north of the furnace building. Diesel is <br /> used for heavy equipment fuel and as generator and fan motor fuel. The 10,500 ' <br /> gallon tank and 1,000 gallon tank, on the north side, have secondary containment. <br /> The 1,000 gallon tank on the south'side is a double wall tank eliminating the need <br /> for secondary containment. <br /> 909R5003 _` L Rev. 5/20/04 <br /> 1 <br />
