0 0
20 April 2015
AGE Project No. 14-3154
To satisfy violation item #101, A State of California temporary EPA -ID number for the
removal of hazardous waste was requested for the site with the Department of Toxic
Substances Control (DTSC); The ID number is CAC002809178.
To satisfy violation item #103 and #104, CES Inc. has hired Environmental Recovery
Services Inc. to provide an emergency coordinator and provide a contingency plan for
spill and leak clean ups. Envirosery has appropriately trained all workers with a 40 -Hour
hazardous waste operator (formal training program) and further been trained for work
with hazardous waste accumulation and storage (Attachment 3). An explanation of the
contingency plan is included.
To satisfy violation item #105 CES Inc, has provided documentation of appropriately
trained CES workers with a 40 -Hour hazardous waste operator (formal training
program) and further been trained for work with hazardous waste (Attachment 4).
However, the EHD did not request the workers documentation of training or
certifications, at the time of the preliminary inspection. Future demolition and
dismantling of oil filled equipment will be conducted to minimize oil spills.
To satisfy violation item #117, a CERS account will be created and finalized with any
tracking records and waste manifests.
To satisfy violation item #301, a cleanup of the standing oil and impacted rain water was
conducted, the affected area was concrete and therefore no impact to soil was possible.
Photos of the equipment and concrete are included.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact our office at (800) 511-
9300.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
William R.
