Stacy Rivera [EH]
From: Rebecca Lee[rebecca.lee@yara.comj
Sent: Monday, July 14, 2014 5:34 AM
To: Stacy Rivera [EH]
Subject: Process for rinsate tank
Attachments: Stockton facility environmental compliance drawing.docx
Ed
Stockton facility
environmenta...
Ms. Rivera,
I appreciate you speaking with me on Monday, July 7th regarding our response letter from
the inspection completed on May 6th, 2014. After review of our processes, Yara strongly
feels that we have not shipped any oil to our recycler, but understand your concerns. To
insure we do not have any issues in the future with the inspections, we have changed our
process by adding absorbents to all of our storm drains which would come in contact with
vehicles entering our facility. I have attached a drawing of equipment to be utilized at
the drainage locations in our facility. I have also provided links for the absorbent
materials to be used that are listed in the drawing.
Links to absorbent materials to be used:
http://www.newpig.com/pig/US/pig-drain-insert-plus-flt116
These will go into all round drains. 5 total
http://www.newpig.com/pig/US/patch-repair-maintenance-7240/sediment-debris-air-
filtration-7711/filtrexx-filtersoxx-filterpillows-7794/0/20
These will go inside Wastewater tank and one inside the sump
http://www.newpig.com/pig/US/pig-drive-over-drainblocker-modular-drain-cover-plr340?
cm cat=shop_by_product# <http://www.newpig.com/pig/US/pig-drive-over-drainblocker-modular-
drain-cover-plr340?cm_cat=shop_by_product>
This will get custom fit along the long drain (84 ft. total length) between loadstands
(highlighted as smaller blue rectangular boxes on drawing)
The absorbents will be inspected on a monthly schedule (in the interim until an
established schedule can be determined) and changed out when spent. The absorbents will
be disposed of properly through a waste oil handler, if needed.
If this information meets the needs of your department regarding management of this
product water, please let me know if this inspection can be closed.
Thank you,
Rebecca Lee
HESQ Manager
Yara North America, Inc.
100 North Tampa St. , Suite 3200
Tampa, FL 33602
rebecca.lee@yara.com <mailto:rebecca.lee@yara.com>
+1 (813) 222-5741 Office
+1 (813) 508-8014 Cell
Cid:imageOOI.png@01CF9B92.OABIAAEO
1
