F <br />CALIFORN9ROGIONAL WATERUALITY Clt <br />Q ROL BOARD <br />' CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br />3443 Routier Road, Suite A <br />Sacramento, CA 95827-3096 <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />and <br />Notice of Application for Waste Discharge Requirements <br />(National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit) <br />for <br />SHELL OIL COMPANY <br />STOCKTON BULK FUEL DISTRIBUTION FACILITY <br />WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM DISCHARGE <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />Shell Oil Company submitted a report of waste discharge for a permit to discharge up to 450,000 <br />gallons per month of wastewater from a treatment system to the San Joaquin River at Rough and <br />Ready Island. The wastewater source is from groundwater containing petroleum hydrocarbons. <br />A public meeting concerning this matter will be held: <br />DATE: 22 April 1994 <br />TIME: 9:00 a.m. <br />PLACE: Board of Supervisors' Chambers <br />Government Center, Administration Building <br />1400 W. Lacey Boulevard <br />Hanford, California <br />Persons wishing to comment on or object to the proposed requirements are invited to submit same in <br />writing to the Rein <br />gional Board no later than 18 April 1994, All comments or objections received by <br />this date will be considered in the draft waste discharge requirements. <br />Additional pertinent information may be received by the Board, upon the request of any interested <br />person at the meeting. After considering comments or objections, the Board may issue waste <br />discharge requirements. Any action of the Board may be appealed to the State Water Resources <br />Control Board within 30 days of the action. <br />Anyone having questions on these requirements should contact the project representative, Patricia <br />Leary at (916) 255-3023. The proposed requirements and related documents may be inspected and <br />copied at the Regional Board's office at 3443 Routier Road, Suite A, Sacramento, California, <br />weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5,00 p.m. <br />Please bring the above matter to the attention of anyone you know who would be interested in this <br />matter. <br />9-4el� f.,e <br />JACK E.
