WORK PLAN
Limited Site Investigation
• The work site is located at the existing Vinotheque Wine Cellars at 1738 East Alpine
Avenue, Stockton, California.
• Terracon conducted a Transaction Screen on the above referenced site in
accordance with ASTM Designation E-1528-06. The presence of the 80,000-gallon
crude oil tank on the site and three smaller underground crude oil tanks
approximately 50 feet south of the site constitute a potential environmental concern
(PEC) to the site based on the potential for past releases of hydrocarbons from these
tanks or associated pipelines and operations.
• Terracon recommended that a limited site investigation (LSI) be designed based on
the Sanborn map and aerial photograph data and be implemented to assess
potential residual impacts from the previous crude oil storage and use on and off
site.
• Two (2) proposed soil borings to 20 feet bgs. One (1) soil sample per boring.
Groundwater sampling is not included in the scope.
• Drilling is to be performed by EnProbe Environmental Probing in Oroville,
California.
• Drilling conditions permitting, continuous soil cores will be obtained.
• All sampling and drilling equipment will be thoroughly cleaned by use of a non-
phosphate cleaner (Liquinox) followed by a potable water rinse and then deionized
water rinse prior to commencement of each boring.
• Ground surfaces at boring locations will be grass and asphalt.
• All boring locations are accessible by a truck-mounted Geoprobefm (or equivalent)
direct push drilling rig.
• The planned boring location area will be marked for utility clearance by
Underground Service Alert (USA) members.
• Borings are scheduled to be completed Monday morning December 4, 2006.
• Selected samples will be analyzed for TPHs via US EPA Method 8015M.
• Boring locations will be backfilled with grout.
Project Manager: Michael Schumacher (916)475-4210 Cell
Site Safety Manager: Michael Schumacher (916)475-4210 Cell
Medical Emergency: 911
