Each of the Paint Cans was removed from the metal recycling bins and determined to be water based latex <br /> based paint used by contractors in the performance of a contract. The cans were determined to be empty and the <br /> residue was allowed to dry before being crushed and disposed of as recyclable metal waste. Contractors were <br /> informed not to dispose of any future cans without the permission of Leprino Authorized representative. <br /> 605. The area operator was notified to insure that the label was properly completed immediately upon placement <br /> of the container in use. The current container label was corrected at the time of the Inspection with the date used <br /> in accordance with the last date of disposal. <br /> 306. The secondary containment is currently under a metal carport and the recycler has been notified to pump <br /> the containment each time they make a pickup of the used oil. In addition local handlers have been instructed to <br /> inspect and pump the area as needed to ensure no accumulation of materials in the unit. <br /> 122,123,124. Manifest number 000489865WAS was maintained in a file in the Engineering office and the returned <br /> copy had been received via email/fax to the Engineering Department Administrative assistant who was/is out of <br /> the office on personal disability leave. The disposal site was notified and duplicate fax was sent to Leprino for hard <br /> copy.
