Emergency Preparedness and9sponse Plan, Leprino Foods Trac CA Facility <br /> 5.0 INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL NOTIFICATION <br /> It is imperative that all Leprino employees are constantly aware of their surroundings. All senses should be <br /> utilized at all times. The sense of smell should not be overlooked. Peculiar odors should be reported to their <br /> supervisor. It should be possible, for example, to smell an ammonia leak. <br /> Most of the product streams and chemicals have distinguishable characteristics that make identification <br /> possible. It is important that you know the location of chemicals stored and their odor characteristics. Refer to <br /> Appendix E site map for bulk chemical locations at the Tracy Facility. <br /> 5.1 Internal Notifications <br /> In the event of a release or spill, Leprino follows a "chain-of-command." The following Table 5-1 <br /> distinguishes for all Leprino employees, who should be notified. <br /> TABLE 5-1: INTERNAL NOTIFICATIONS <br /> Employee,Classification To°1Nhom They Sh6uld Report . <br /> Department Manager Production Manager, Plant Manager, Plant Engineer <br /> Supervisor immediate Department Manager <br /> All other Employees Immediate Supervisor or Working Foreperson <br /> Table 3-1 lists Management and Supervisory personnel who may be contacted by employees in the <br /> event of an incident. Table 2-1 identifies the trained HAZMAT Team Members and theirjob functions. <br /> The most senior management person at the time of the emergency assumes the role of the Incident <br /> Commander. Remember, response activities undertaken by Leprino HAZMAT Technicians must do so <br /> only under the direction of a trained Incident Commander. <br /> Plant and Corporate Senior Management must be contacted as soon as reasonably possible in the event <br /> of any major emergency or incident. These contacts must include the Plant Manager, Plant Engineer, <br /> Production Manager, Maintenance Manager and Plant Human Resources Manager as well as <br /> Western Region VP, Corporate Director of Environmental Operations, Corporate Director of <br /> Maintenance Operations, Corporate Legal and Corporate Safety Manager. Refer to Table 3-1 for <br /> contact information on Plant Management and Table 5-2 for contact information on Corporate Senior <br /> Management. <br /> For response and 1 or clean up operations that would require company funds for additional equipment, <br /> contact the Western Region Vice President (Refer to Table 3-1 for contact information). <br /> 5.2 Pre-Emergency Planning And Coordination With Outside Parties <br /> Preplanning has been completed with Tracy Police Department and the Tracy Fire Department. <br /> During an emergency response the Tracy Police will provide site security at the street entrances. Refer <br /> to Site Map located in Appendix for gate locations. The Tracy Fire Department will provide <br /> emergency medical treatment, transportation and responder assist in decontamination_ Please refer to <br /> Appendix K for Mutual Aid Assistance Agreements established with outside parties. <br /> 5.3 Whom to Notify <br /> The following Table 5-2 lists organizations that are commonly notified in an emergency.
