Combinations to Avoid,(Selection) / r, - ",, c4n , <br />Because o9eir hazards, some hazardous materials moot be loaded, transported or <br />stored together in the same transport vehicle. In other cases, the materials may be on <br />the same vehicle as long as they are separated so that if any of the packages leak during <br />• transport, the leaked material would not commingle with other hazardous materials. <br />• Never load packages labeled POISON, INHALATION HAZARD or, POISONOUS <br />GAS in the same trailer with food stuff, feed, or any edible material intended for <br />consumption by humans or animals. <br />• Never load any corrosive liquids, (Muriatic Acid, CLR, Drano, 409, etc) on the same <br />transport vehicle with any packages labeled, "poisonous gas". <br />• Always load Pool shock, or any chlorinated items separate from corrosive liquids, <br />(brake fluid, Draino, etc. Refer to "common DC items "for corrosive liquids). <br />• Never load Flammable solids, (Paints oil based, Matches, Suter, Waxes, etc) or <br />Flammable liquids/ Ignitable gases, (Kerosene, Acetone, Oils, Antifreeze, Rain -X, WD - <br />40 Pine sol, etc) together with packages labeled "poisonous gases, or any packages <br />labeled "Poisonous materials." -- <br />• Store flammable products, (Sproypaints, Oils; Fuels etc) and corrosive products, <br />(Sulfuric Acid, Drain cleaners, etc) in separate locations. The label will indicate if the <br />product is corrosive or flammable. <br />• • Load pesticides, (Bug killers, Insect repellents, Garden dust and sprays, etc), and <br />herbicides, (Weed killers, Lawn products, etc) away from fertilizers, (Plant soil, <br />Garden sprays, etc). Their vapors can contaminate fertilizers. <br />• Never load any corrosive materials above any flammable or oxidizing items. <br />• Keep matches away from any ignitable items. <br />• Keep batteries away from any flammable items. <br />• Keep any corrosive items away from compressed Propane bottles. <br />Remember, being aware of what and where you are loading product can help prevent <br />Hazmat accidents from happening.
